Social Worker I Assessment I Middlesbrough Council

Reed is currently looking to recruit an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join Middlesbrough Councils Assessment Team.   

Fantastic payrate of £38 per hour!

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks, needs and strengths.
  • Developing and implementing care plans to support the safety, wellbeing and development of children and families.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies and community organisations to coordinate and improve care.
  • Providing support and advocacy for children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions and outcomes in line with legal and professional standards.

Requirements of this role:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a social work role, preferably within children and family services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with children, families and professionals.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and safeguarding.
