Social Worker I Children with Disabilities I Middlesbrough Council

Reed is currently looking to recruit an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join Middlesbrough Councils Children with Disabilities Team.

Fantastic payrate of £38 per hour!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring their needs are assessed and supported.
  • Develop and implement care plans that focus on the wellbeing, safety and development of each child.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide safeguarding support where needed.
  • Advocate for children and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
  • Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, including safeguarding reviews, care plan reviews, and court proceedings when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and professional standards.

Requirements of this role:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience working with children with disabilities or in a similar social work role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and care planning processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children, families, and professionals.
