Job Description:

As a Part-time Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in managing the sales ledger and overseeing various aspects of the accounting function. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for both sales and rental transactions.
  • Credit Control: Manage the credit control function, including chasing overdue payments and resolving any outstanding issues.
  • Invoice Processing: Process both sales and rental invoices efficiently and accurately.
  • Credit Card Transactions: Record and post credit card transactions in the accounts system.
  • Communication: Liaise with clients and vendors to resolve any invoicing queries or discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar accounts or finance role.
  • Confident in dealing with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers, especially over the phone.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with the sales ledger and credit control functions is essential.
  • Construction industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
