TSRN are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Director, The Commercial Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the business delivers its market position, growth, and financial objectives.

The position has the responsibility for ensuring that the requirements of both new and existing clients are satisfied through solution and relationship selling. The Commercial Director is also responsible for growing and nurturing relationship with industry partners such as industry bodies and associate partners.

Key functions:

Take lead responsibility for the development of Commercial opportunities for the business (across its certification, verification and training services) through establishing new customer relationships across the test, inspection and certification sectors.

Key duties may involve:

To deliver the Commercial strategy in line with company objectives

To ensure commercial processes and commercial employees deliver strong customer experience and value-added service delivery

To act with commercial acumen to identify and (where appropriate) deliver commercial opportunities.

To work with key customer managers to ensure that customer specific approaches are incorporated into operational processes, including training where applicable

To manage and build an effective commercial team ensuring skills development and effective team working

To maintain awareness of industry & Accreditation risks and challenges to ensure that processes and staff can address Industry needs with regards to the 'value of certification’ perspective. Coach, motivate & guide the Commercial team in achieving growth targets.

Constantly monitor all customer accounts to ensure that the business is always meeting customer expectations while maintaining the growth and profitability on the account.

Motivate the team of Business Development Professionals to ensure growth targets are achieved across the client portfolio of services

Providing input to the finance/accounting department (metrics, reports, forecasts, etc.) Providing input to the client, UK annual budget

Key Requirements of the Successful Candidate:

Previous Commercial experience from an UKAS Certification Body

Proficient understanding of the role of accreditation, International/National Quality Infrastructure and how training, marketing and sales can contribute to sustainable commercial success

Commercial and financial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset.
