We have a brand new opportunity for a savvy and commercially driven Conversion Manager to join a stunning and prestigious country house hotel based outside of Milton Keynes

Joining their Meeting & Events team, you’ll be responsible for delivering and exceeding revenue objectives, maximise conversion to achieve the MICE budget and regular analysis of the business. Supporting the department with large MICE enquiries, and ensuring all new enquiries are actioned, and fully qualified. Support on qualifying and following up on key pieces of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice efficient and effective yield management in line with guidelines and maximise each and every sales opportunity, upselling as frequently as possible
  • Ensure effective diary management, ensure that all rates quoted are in line with the hotel sell strategy and control option business to maintain a clean diary and optimise conversion levels
  • Work closely with the proactive team on passing on any leads of potential new clients once qualified, building relationships with existing clients to seek further opportunities
  • Analyse refused business and regular rebook calls on all confirmed/lost business
  • Carry out regular competitor calls to analyse pricing and availability trends in order to support in setting out strategy
  • Understand the competitive market place and suggest strategy to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the marketplace
  • Ensure a full understanding of the sales budget for the year in order to drive business forward and deliver this strategy to new and existing clients to meet annual revenue targets

What do you need to qualify for this role?

  • Minimum 2 years experience in meeting & events background in a conference and events focused hotel
  • Ideal candidate would be someone in meeting & events team looking to progress into proactive role and progression in their career
  • Strong commercial mind and proactive attitude
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise your own workload
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
