Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the organisation's financial goals and decisions, ensuring accurate financial control and reporting, and building strong financial and accounting controls and policies. With a salary of £60,000, this role offers a competitive remuneration package.
What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, your role will be pivotal in shaping the financial future of the organisation. You will be responsible for developing strategies to reduce financial risk, maximising profits, and assisting key stakeholders in decision making. Your expertise will ensure robust financial reporting processes are in place, delivering timely and accurate reports. You will also manage the accounts payable area, leading a small team to success. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in performing balance sheet reconciliations and handling taxation matters.
- Develop and manage the organisation's financial goals and decisions
- Ensure accurate financial control & monthly management reporting
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Focus on balance sheet reconciliations, particularly prepayments, accruals, and salaries
- Engage in business partnering and cost control
- Build strong financial and accounting controls and policies

- Bachelor's degree in relevant financial discipline from an accredited college or university
- Hold a recognised UK accounting qualification (CIMA; ACCA; ICAEW or QBE)
- Intermediate level Microsoft Excel & Word skills
- Knowledge of the UK financial regulatory and legislative requirements
- Extensive experience in application of accounting principles and standards
- Strong understanding of handling deadlines and working to a timetable
