Position Overview: A market leader in the sales, hire, and calibration of environmental monitoring instrumentation is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join their Service Delivery Team. This role has become available due to the career progression of the incumbent. The team is responsible for operating the hire service, managing orders with suppliers, stock control, dispatch and receipt of goods, customer support, and building/repairing instrumentation. This role offers a varied workload with activities tailored to individual strengths.
Training: The successful candidate will receive industry-leading training in environmental monitoring. Basic computer skills and experience with Excel and Outlook are essential.

Role Responsibilities:
- Determine, agree, and record customers’ hire requirements primarily via email and telephone.
- Check and pack goods for sales, hire, and calibration orders.
- Unpack and check goods from suppliers and customers.
- Arrange shipments with couriers.
- Monitor stock levels of sales and hire equipment.
- Prepare and send out hire agreements and sales order acknowledgements.
- Record ordered items in the company’s stock control system.
- Liaise with customers and the lab team regarding collections, deliveries, and calibration services.
- Check instrumentation, identify faults, and perform repairs where possible.
- Build up electronic systems, including component level construction and repairs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in customer service, preferably in a technical services environment.
- Proven team player who can work effectively with diverse teams.
- Competence in Microsoft software, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with good numeracy and literacy.
- Technical or numerate discipline qualification (BTEC Level III equivalent) is advantageous.
- Ability to prepare goods for dispatch and accurately record incoming goods and orders.
