Warehouse Team Leader
  • Location: Bletchley, Milton Keynes
  • Reporting to: Distribution Supervisor
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday with weekly rotating shifts (06:00 – 15:00 / 13:00 – 22:00), including a one-hour lunch break
Main Purpose of the Role
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring the quality of goods.
  • Organise and maintain the inventory storage area.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and on-the-job training to a team of Warehouse Operatives.
  • Support the management team in implementing new ways of working and initiatives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain valid licenses for all mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure general housekeeping and site security, including unlocking and locking up the site.
  • Lead and develop a team of warehouse operatives, communicating daily targets and operational plans.
  • Conduct clear, concise shift handovers to the other Team Leader.
  • Ensure efficient flow of stock throughout the site and manage stock control.
  • Participate in stock taking activities.
  • Focus on all health and safety matters.
  • Support the Transport Supervisor to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of customer orders.
  • Provide support to the sales team to ensure optimal stock availability.
Key Skills / Attributes
  • Experience using MHE equipment such as LLOP, Counterbalance, and VNA trucks.
  • Proven record of leading a team in a fast-paced distribution environment.
