Summary of the Role:

We are seeking a proactive Health, Safety & Facilities Officer to join our client's team in Milton Keynes. This role involves managing and promoting health and safety standards across the site, with a focus on compliance, employee training, and emergency preparedness. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a safe working environment, handling maintenance requests, and coordinating with contractors to ensure facilities meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimizing workplace risks and hazards.
  • Oversee safety practices, including waste disposal, COSHH, and infection control.
  • Conduct first aid duties
  • Facilitate statutory inspections for LOLER and compressed air systems.
  • Manage health and safety policies, perform safety inspections, and lead emergency response training.
  • Log health and safety tours, incidents, and maintenance requests.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • A role within manufacturing or FMCG environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act, IOSH, and NEBOSH certifications (preferred).
  • Confident communicator.
  • Strong analytical and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage maintenance requests and interact with external stakeholders effectively.
