Payroll Assistant

Salary: £33,000-£35,000

Location: Milton Keynes

Contract with the potential to be made permanent in the future.

Our client is seeking a highly organised and adaptable Payroll Assistant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, managing all aspects of payroll for approximately 100 employees in the UK and Ireland.

What you'll do:

  • Complete UK Payroll submission file preparation for employees
  • Work with external payroll vendor to complete all monthly payroll tasks
  • Manually update the internal payroll system with all payroll changes
  • Prepare and submit Pension Contributions
  • Must have experience in multi currency payments
  • Analyse and resolve payroll issues related to tax, general accounting, regulatory requirements, benefits, time reporting, and labour agreement matters
  • Develop and run ad-hoc, audit, and post-payroll reports
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports for the Finance Team

What you bring:

  • Experience with UK and Ireland Payroll systems is essential
  • Ability to analyse and resolve payroll-related issues
  • Experience in preparing pension contributions
  • Ability to develop and run various types of reports
  • Strong organisational skills are essential
