Occupational Therapist

Permanent | Part time - 35 hours per week
Location: Buckinghamshire
Salary: up to £37,000 per annum based on experience

Our well established client are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their team on a permanent basis.  

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Work within a specialist clinical area as an autonomous professional, using and developing skills and knowledge in neurological rehabilitation with support and supervision of a more senior OT.
  • Manage and prioritise a caseload of people with complex mental/physical health needs and/or challenging behaviour.
  • Address occupational performance and skill deficits enabling the service user in areas of self-maintenance, productivity, education, and leisure.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately according to the competence of colleagues and take responsibility for handover, monitoring, and review.
  • Carry out detailed risk assessments and ensure that these are regularly reviewed and updated and communicate this with the team effectively.
  • With supervision from a more senior OT manage a designated workload, identify priorities, and manage time and resources effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • HCPC registered
  • Occupational Therapy degree
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
