SEN Teaching Assistant - Morecambe:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a teaching assistant with experience supporting complex needs to join one of our schools near to Morecambe. This is a full time position to start after the Febuary half term.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1-1 basis
  • Reguarly communicating with the class teacher to monitor progress of the pupils
  • Preparing learning resources and activities

Position Details:

  • Location: Morecambe
  • Position: SEN TA
  • Hours: 8:20am-3:20pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £90 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: Feb 2025
  • End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting children with complex needs within an educational setting is essential
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach qualification would be highly desired
  • Experience of positive behaviour management skills

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
