Contract Scotland are working with a reputable Glasgow based design and build contractor to source an experienced Design Coordinator. They specialise in providing a fully comprehensive construction experience and place great importance on providing a quality service and maintaining a positive reputation within the industry. You can expect to work on varied projects across a range of sectors including commercial, education, leisure, industrial, and more!

As Design Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the design process from inception to completion on a range of building and refurbishment projects. You will work closely with the Design Manager, architects, engineers, project managers, and clients, to ensure that all design aspects are executed smoothly and to a high standard.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop design concepts and plans.
- Coordinating and managing design schedules, ensuring all project deadlines are met.
- Ensuring all design work adheres to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Supporting the Design Manager and project teams in resolving any design-related issues or conflicts.
- Monitoring design budgets and assisting in cost estimation and resource allocation.
- Staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve design processes.

To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Design, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role, preferably with a main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, construction methods, and building regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to multitask.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
