Our client, a market leader in high-quality slitting and rewinding machinery, is seeking a skilled Service/Installation Engineer to join their International Machine Support Department based in Ipswich, Suffolk.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong electro/mechanical engineering background who is ready to travel worldwide to support their growing customer base. Are you the right person for the job?
- Proven experience in a production machine service/installation environment
- Background in electro/mechanical engineering
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
- Knowledge of machine controls (PLCs) and A.C drive controls
- Experience with mechanical engineering, servicing, and repairs
- Knowledge of the Converting Industry is an advantage
- Based locally in Ipswich or nearby, with the ability to be factory-based when not traveling
What will your role look like?
- Provide service and installation support for slitting and rewinding machinery
- Travel worldwide regularly to perform installations and servicing
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery, ensuring minimal downtime for customers
- Work with machine controls PLCs, A.C drive controls, and electro/mechanical components
- Perform mechanical engineering tasks including servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Be based in our Ipswich factory when not on-site
