This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the shift ensuring our customers receive a first-class service. Managing the team ensuring conformance to plan in a timely & efficient manner meeting customer demand. The role will cover all aspect of the employee life cycle, to deliver maximum productivity with a clear focus on Health & Safety, quality, efficiency and profitability.
Client Details
The role will be in charge of a shift team which works of 4 on 4 off (12 hours) and be based within the Co-Packing environment. You will be expected to be part of the Co-Packing leadership Team in coordinating the day-to-day activities of team members and ensuring the operation of the department runs effectively and efficiently. You will be required to measure shift performance to make sure employees are working in-line with best practice, and identifying any training or development needs where necessary. This role carries the responsibility for ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality of stock receipts, put away, picking, loading and promoting our SAP system processes. You will be required to support the Co-Packing Leadership Team in working to and promoting the highest health and safety standards throughout the site and uphold the Company's policies and procedures - supporting with any employee transactional issues as required (performance improvement plans, absence, investigation & disciplinary and grievance).
Description
* To coordinate and guide Production Operatives & Line Leaders to achieve the daily contract packing targets and KPIs set in a safe and efficient manner. * Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, despatching, and assuring quality goods - promoting SAP system processes and handling non- compliance appropriately.* Organise and maintain inventory and storage areas, ensure shipments and inventory transaction accuracy.* Maintain all record keeping and document necessary information for a clear handover to the management on the following shift.* Pro-actively identify improvement opportunities liaising with H&S, Quality & ESG, Continuous Improvement and Warehouse Management.* To deal with any discrepancies found ensuring corrective action is taken and if necessary, report immediately to the Co-Packing Manager or in their absence, the Value-Added Services Manager.* Contribute to an atmosphere in which employees are encouraged to volunteer ideas and are engaged in what the company needs to achieve.* To utilise employee productivity and performance data to review accordingly, identifying opportunities for reward and recognition for high performers to the Co-Packing Management Team.* To conduct investigations and support with disciplinary hearings and welfare meetings as required. Also deal with any employee relation issues as per the Company policies and procedures.* Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to maintain the highest standards with due regard to Customer requirements and in line with HACCP, BRC and any other internal or external legislation/audits.* To be aware of and adhere to the Company's Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the health, safety, environmental and welfare of yourself and others in your departments, as well as informing the Co-Packing Manager if any improvements need to be made.* Support and deliver on the Company mission, vision and live and promote the Company values.
Profile
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Production Supervisor role preferably within a co-packing or food environment.
- Knowledge and experience of health and safety principles, preferably IOSH standard though not essential.
- Knowledge and experience of using end to end Warehouse Management systems including SAP (Microlise, Contrado, Capture IT desired but not essential).
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient and motivational people management and communication skills.
- Initiative-taking with an eye for problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Excellent PC skills and conversant with all Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Job Offer
Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off - 05:45 hours to 18:00 hours
