Job title: Financial Controller
Location: Newport
Pay range: £45,000-£50,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Omega is partnering with a fantastic company based in Newport. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to take full ownership of the finance department ensuring accurate financial reporting across all sites, integrating newly acquired businesses, and supporting expansion plans. As Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in shaping the finance function and guiding the team to success.
Key Responsibilities-Financial Controller
- Full production of monthly management accounts including analysis and commentary
- Prepare company budgets, forecasts and cash flow
- Reconcile balance sheet
- Control of fixed asset register
- Responsible for payroll and pensions
- Oversee Purchase & Sales Ledger
- Credit control & debt management
- Complete all HMRC returns including VAT and other statutory returns
- Leadership and management of two team members
Qualifications & Requirements-Financial Controller
- Fully qualified accountant with at least 3 years’ experience - Preferred: ACCA, AAT (level 4), CIMA, ICAEW
- Solid technical background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organisational skills
- Able to use standard Microsoft office packages: Word, Excel.
- A hands-on, can-do attitude with initiative to work well individually and in a team
