We are currently seeking to recruit a friendly and trustworthy support worker to work alongside a family, therapy team and case manager to support a delightful 8-year-old boy who has impaired cognition, challenging behaviour and visual impairment, in his own home and out in the community from the Britton Ferry area.
Ideally, you would have knowledge and experience of:
Working with children with disabilities including challenging behaviour.
Providing support in the community
Supporting with personal care tasks
Working closely with the clients family
The support worker will be responsible for supporting the client to access meaningful community activities and therapies safely, including providing transport to and from them.
The position is for 16 hours a week, and it is important that the support worker can commit to working flexibly.
We aim to offer a competitive salary of £17.00 per hour.
This is an excellent opportunity for a support worker to help transform a young boy's life and his family while developing and maintaining professional working relationships. By working with the client, you will be playing a key part in helping to develop the clients goals and day-to-day activities. If you think you have the skills and experience for this post, we would love to hear from you.
