We are currently recruiting for a Quality Administrator to join a leading Manufacturing Engineering client based near Nelson.

This position has been created due to an increased workload and the client is looking to add some additional support to the Quality team.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstable background within an Administrative role ideally within a manufacturing/ engineering based environment however this is not essential.

Candidates will work as part of the quality team to ensure all documentations packs, NCRs and compliance are processed in a timely manner.

A keen eye for detail and methodical mindset is key for this role.

Interested candidates will have strong IT Skills and be confident learning new systems.

Hours - Monday - Thursday 8am - 430PM / Friday 8AM - 1PM  

Role Description

  • Closure of NCRs within the system and creation of scrap documentation.
  • Submission and ownership of customer concessions, ensuring timely updates.
  • Maintenance and management of customer trackers to accurately reflect the status of NCRs.
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) processes to ensure NCRs are dispositioned promptly.
  • Creation and management of internal and external customer shipping documentation to facilitate the dispatch process.
  • Compilation of data for QE review, including STEM and machining data.
  • Preparation of customer shipping documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Creation and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Alerts in collaboration with Quality Engineers.
  • Updating manufacturing documentation to reflect process or procedural changes.
  • Support preparation for internal audits, third-party audits, and certification processes.
  • Assist in gathering documentation and data required for audits and compliance reviews.

Skills & Attributes

  • Demonstrable experience within an administrative role – Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering environment advantageous.
  • Strong IT Skills 
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure.
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook literate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
