Group Finance Manager | Nottingham | £55,000 to £60,000 + Benefits
Exciting Group Finance Manager opportunity, in a business that has the size & scale that allows for future progression and growth but feels more like an SME. There will be plenty of autonomy & opportunity to add value.
This role is key to the Finance team in a newly created function and will be involved in developing and driving effective management reporting and control processes not from their desk but out in the business.You'll be working with an experienced Group FC (trained in top 10 practice with 15 + years' experience).
Working closely with the Group FC, the successful candidate will have full responsibility for, amongst other things, preparing monthly accounts, managing daily accounting operations (including billing, treasury, and accounts payable), overseeing cash flow, and ensuring accurate group reporting. The role also involves collaborating with senior leadership on budgets and forecasts, reconciling ledgers, and driving efficiency through project work.
They operate a very flexible environment (hybrid and flexible hours), although based in Nottingham they are hybrid (2 days in the office). Very much an adult working environment where you'll be trusted to manage your own diary.
Plenty of opportunity to progress as well, there's a clear succession plan to Finance Director or alternatively there are routes into senior commercial finance and or pure project accounting roles.
Your Experience...
- Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA ideally in a larger group function (Listed or PLC) or as a 1st / 2nd time mover from Audit / Practice
- Exposure to project accounting / change management programs - new systems & process etc
