A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established company based in Newbury. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, with close collaboration with the Director of Finance and Operations.
With a focus on tax-related accounting duties, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including financial and management accounts, with a strong emphasis on tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with budgeting processes
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts
- Maintain a solid understanding of VAT rules and VAT accounting
- Administer payroll in accordance with relevant legislation
- Ensure compliance with charity-related financial regulations
- Assisting with financial year end procedures
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Prepare cashflow statements
- Complete statutory returns
- Help facilitate the financial audit
- Responding to any HMRC queries which may arise in respect of VAT
Requirements:
- Part-qualified or qualified by experience Accountant with a focus on tax
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, VAT, and payroll administration
