Our client is a successful and established, highly successful and expanding hospitality group, based in Newcastle upon Tyne. They are currently looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The job you will be doing;

  • Providing the highest quality of service to guests
  • Be instrumental to achieving hotel and business objectives are accomplished
  • Manage the day to day operations of the hotel and oversee all departments
  • Support operations management by advising on policy and procedures
  • Ensuring all urgent matters and addressed correctly and in accordance with company policy
  • Make sure all health and safety compliance is met throughout the hotel
  • Develop staff and management through mentoring and coaching
  • Conduct quarterly appraisals with the team
  • Follow all recruitment procedures and ensure these are followed by all
  • Create rotas for the needs of the business, and review all holiday requests to maintain cover
  • Make sure all training is up to date and takes place
  • Maintain cleanliness and maintenance issues by using a daily compliance diary
  • Ensure the site is adhering to Health and Safety, Food Safety and Licensing
  • Conduct regular site inspections to make sure all standards are being met
  • Ensure the site achieves 5 star EHO rating
  • Communicate effectively with the Area General Manager and the team

About You

  • Previous Hotel Management experience is essential.
  • Have a passion for excellent service and enjoy working in professional surroundings
  • Demonstrate a hands-on approach and an outstanding personality
  • Be a team player and an effective leader by setting examples
  • Be able to create a great atmosphere by welcoming customers
  • Be confident and self-motivated, displaying a passionate commitment to the business
