Tax Accountant

Sellick Partnership is currently assisting in the recruitment of a Tax Accountant for an organisation within the Public Sector on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant include:

  • Manage VAT accounting functions, including quarterly VAT return and preparation of VAT certificates.
  • The annual Corporation tax and other statutory HMRC returns.
  • Supporting with the preparation and audit of the Statutory Accounts.
  • Assist with monthly and annual reporting.
  • Keeping up to date with corporation tax, VAT and international tax legislative changes and requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Understanding of appropriate legislation, regulations, and code of practice, along with appreciation of the implications of non-compliance
  • Good understanding of UK GAAP and technical post qualified experience
  • Hold a CCAB Accountancy qualification
  • Hold a CTA qualification (desirable)
