Your new companyEstablished and award-winning organisation based in the heart of the city centre with ambitious plans for the future.Your new role Working as part of a financial operations team, you will take responsibility for tax and VAT activities. You will provide strategic, expert and customer valued financial and taxation information and advice to both internal and external customers. Your aim will be to develop and maintain standardised ways of working within the team and across the organisation, ensuring effective and efficient processes and templates, and maintain full legal and compliance standards, ensuring accurate data and records. As someone who keeps up to date with corporation tax and VAT legislative changes and requirements as well as identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies, as appropriate, you will also provide assistance with employment tax compliance and advice in relation to global mobility. In addition the broader role will encompass the provision of support to the financial accounts team with aspects of monthly and annual reporting, as well as supporting the preparation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations. You will work closely with the capital and income accountant on month end capital reporting and controls and support, particularly in the preparation and audit of the statutory accounts. As part of the wider role, through progression, the opportunity to supervise the treasury function through monitoring and authorising payments on a day-to-day basis and contributing to the development and implementation of changes to treasury management.What you'll need to succeedThis role would suit you as a qualified accountant with a desire to further develop and progress your technical and tax accounting skills by giving focus to this whilst working as part of a collaborative financial accounting team. Additionally, the opportunity to work with wider operational teams providing advice and support on new projects will reflect your ambitious and engaging nature.
