The Role:As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of residential development projects, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget.
  • Leading and coordinating a team of contract administrators, quantity surveyors, and other relevant professionals.
  • Developing and implementing robust contract strategies, including tendering, negotiation, and award processes.
  • Monitoring and managing contract performance, identifying and mitigating risks, and resolving disputes effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and contractual obligations, including building regulations, health and safety standards, and planning permissions.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

  • A proven track record in contracts management within the housebuilding industry, ideally with experience managing high-volume residential development programs.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, contract law, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
