NRG is proud to be working with one of the UK’s most established law firms to recruit a File Storage Clerk. This role is crucial in maintaining organised and up-to-date records of files and deeds, ensuring secure storage, retrieval, and transportation between the Newcastle office and an off-site warehouse.
Please note: The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence, as travel to and from the warehouse is required (a vehicle will be provided).
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: Up to £27,000 DOE.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of stored files and deeds.
- Process file closures using Aderant Expert software.
- Store deeds and original documentation, ensuring database updates.
- Securely bind, transport, and file documents at the off-site warehouse.
- Retrieve and arrange the secure destruction of files reaching their retention date.
- Handle retrieval requests for files and deeds promptly.
- Ensure strict confidentiality at all times.
- Follow health and safety policies and complete relevant training.
- Assist with warehouse organisation, including manual handling of files and working at height (training provided).
- Support office moves and minor maintenance tasks.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Client-focused with exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Full UK driving licence required.
