The role involves ensuring high-quality data is sourced and curated within the company's Azure cloud platform, focusing on data ingestion solutions and ETL/ELT processes.
Candidates should have experience in a cloud services environment, particularly with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Delta Lake, along with knowledge of data modeling and ETL.
The position requires guiding team members and implementing DataOps practices to enhance the data lifecycle.
A competitive salary is offered, and candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

The CompanyNigel Wright Tech is delighted to be working with an established FMCG organisation in their search for a Senior Data Platform Engineer. The RoleYou will be part of the team responsible for ensuring high quality data is sourced and curated in the company's Azure cloud platform ensuring that this will be a foundation for growth for all data, analytic and AI services. Other responsibilities include:

Develop and implement data ingestion solutions on the Azure platform, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance. Leveraging technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake and Python
Guide and support team members
Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from various sources into Azure data services
Help to implement DataOps practises to streamline and automate the data lifecycle

Previous experience of working within a cloud services environment, preferably the broader Fabric or Databricks suite of products
Data Modelling and ETL knowledge
