The CompanyNigel Wright Tech is delighted to be working with an established FMCG organisation in their search for a Senior Data Platform Engineer. The RoleYou will be part of the team responsible for ensuring high quality data is sourced and curated in the company's Azure cloud platform ensuring that this will be a foundation for growth for all data, analytic and AI services. Other responsibilities include: 
  • Develop and implement data ingestion solutions on the Azure platform, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance. Leveraging technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake and Python 
  • Guide and support team members 
  • Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from various sources into Azure data services 
  • Help to implement DataOps practises to streamline and automate the data lifecycle 
The RequirementsThis is a brilliant opportunity to join a rapidly growing business who are keen to fully maximise their data output. Key requirements include: 
  • Previous experience of working within a cloud services environment, preferably the broader Fabric or Databricks suite of products 
  • Data Modelling and ETL knowledge 
  • Knowledgeable with data security best practise and ability to guide others in this area 
  • Commitment to understanding the commercial drivers of the business and can build data solutions to drive growth
