SJC Partners is currently recruiting a Corporate Finance Executive position on behalf one of the North East’s most reputable professional service firm’s.  The opportunity here is work within their newly launched Corporate Finance business and work closely with one of the region’s leading and most respected Corporate Finance partner’s.The Corporate Finance division has made significant traction in the marketplace, winning and completing on an impressive list of deal mandates (typically in the £5m-£50m deal value range though on occasion can exceed this) and have an excellent pipeline they are confident of converting. Consequently, they seek an Executive to take a key role in the business across multiple transactions during the course of 2024 and beyond.  Key responsibilities include:  
  • Supporting the partner in the leading of M&A transactions from commencement through to completion, including liaising with clients, lawyers, funders and other advisers.
  • Preparing Pathfinders and Information Memoranda as a crucial element of a business sale process.
  • Undertaking potential acquirers and potential target reviews, by reviewing websites and working with partners across the UK and overseas, in readiness for presenting the outputs to clients
  • Preparing financial projections models
  • Assisting the partner and clients with fund-raising assignments, including identifying appropriate funding sources, liaising with funders and clients, and responding to information requests.
  • Undertaking financial due diligence to support fund-raising, private equity and M&A transactions.
  • Undertaking initial research and analysis to support pitches, whilst also assisting in the preparation and delivery of the pitch.
  • Developing a network of contacts across the North-East professional community and be an ambassador for the firm.
Whilst prior deal advisory experience would help, applicants could well be currently in audit looking to move into the deals space (you could be at the latter stages of a professional qualification or fully qualified). More importantly you will possess the traits of a corporate financier namely sales flair, strong negotiation skills and an understanding of the 'art of the deal'.
