Your Company:The team at NET Recruit are partnering with a client who is searching for an experienced Project Manager to operate across the North East Region. The business itself offers financial services and is embarking on a mission to ensure that communities across the nation have access to money in a sustainable manner, by setting up banking services in hub and pop-up form, within these communities and partnering with national banks to gain representation for their services offered, enabling members of the public to access this when they need to.This will role will oversee the design and implementation of the businesses' more temporary and 'pop-up' hubs, to provide communities where longer term solutions are more difficult to implement, a solution for a period of time. As such this role will be varied, undertaking multiple projects and moving on from completed ones swiftly. There will be a strong reliance on the Project Manager to effectively forecast and budget costs and ensure that the projects operate within these guidelines and timescales, providing adequate reporting throughout to senior management.There will be the expectation to travel to sites in the area and across the UK, and this could be relatively frequent, depending on the needs of the business and where planned projects are due to commence.Any applicant MUST be happy to travel as it is needed of them.Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Heading up the planning and implementation of projects within expected timescales and budgets
  • Creating plans for projects with suppliers and identifying critical paths and ensuring these are managed effectively throughout the project
  • Developing and maintaining strong business working relationships with suppliers and project partners, including partnering financial services businesses that are involved in the initiative, to ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently and that partner requirements are taken on board
  • Building strong relationships with the impacted communities
  • Working alongside the financial team to provide financial reports and budgets, planning forecasts and measuring actual costs against these
  • Supporting the transition of temporary sites to permanent solutions
  • Providing comprehensive feedback to the innovation team to support the development of future projects
  • Taking the lead on governance meetings
What You Will Need To Apply:The business is searching for experienced project managers to apply for this role, with strong resource and people management skills, excellent communication abilities and a high level of attention to detail. Exposure to the finance and banking industry would be a benefit in this role. It would also be useful for the candidate to have a good financial or commercial acumen, in order to understand and manage budgets well.
