The People Services Manager is responsible for all aspects of People Services across the business, including the development and delivery of the People Strategy to support the strategic plan and continued growth.

What’s involved:

  • Lead and manage the small People Services team to deliver a high quality customer focussed service.
  • Working closely with the Director of Operations, lead the creation, development and implementation of the People Strategy to recruit, develop and retain the skills, capabilities and talent needed for the future.
  • Lead and manage the recruitment, training and development of colleagues.
  • Actively support career development and learning.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders, prepare and implement the annual review of salaries and bonus scheme.
  • Support developing new strategies for continuous improvement and engagement.
  • Promote a healthy working environment, organising and supporting health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Manage ongoing People Services activities such as performance reviews, reward and recognition, benefits and renewals process, succession planning and hybrid working policies.
  • Provide advice and guidance on all people related matters, overseeing employee relations activity.
  • Lead the continued development of Investors in People accreditation.
  • Lead and chair the Employee Forum.
  • Lead the continuous development and implementation of the HR System.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • A track record of operating at both a strategic and operational level, developing and implementing strategic People Services interventions which add value.
  • A credible HR professional who has strong communication and stakeholder management skills who is able to influence across all stakeholder levels and build positive, professional relationships.
  • Has integrity, commerciality and takes accountability for the People Services function overall.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist and of developing HR/people activities.
  • Proactive with a can-do approach and experience of helping and developing others.
  • Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualified.
  • Experience of working in a commercial, service led organisation would be an advantage.
