Senior Private Client Lawyer - NewcastleExperience Level: 5+ PQE to Partner LevelQED Legal are excited to have teamed up with a leading North East firm who are looking for a Senior Private Client Lawyer to join their growing team.You will be joining a strong team of 14 people.This is a unique opportunity for somebody who is keen to progress and who is looking for that next step in their career, whether that be to Partnership. The Role: As a Senior Private Client Solicitor, you'll manage a diverse caseload encompassing Wills, estate administration, LPAs, trusts, and estate planning. Being able to handle and deal with more complex matters would be beneficial.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparation and drafting of legal documents such as Wills, trusts, LPAs, and associated paperwork.
  • Expert guidance to clients throughout probate and estate administration, including drafting legal statements, HMRC forms, deeds, and asset transfer documentation.
  • Supervision and support of junior team members.
  • Active participation in business development initiatives.
Requirements: We're seeking a qualified Solicitor or experienced fee earner with:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience handling private client matters.
  • Profound knowledge of private client law, encompassing wills, trusts, probate, estate planning, tax planning, and asset protection.
  • Previous supervisory or training experience is advantageous.
  • Ideally, membership in STEP, though not essential.
