Our client, a prominent entity in the marine engineering sector, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team. This permanent role offers the opportunity to oversee and improve production systems while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring safety, quality management and responsible delivery within the Production Departments
- Managing the Production Team to ensure timely and efficient outputs
- Overseeing compliance across all supervised areas
- Contributing to the preparation of budgets and forecasting
- Capex reporting and monitoring
- Maximising production capacity by adjusting and monitoring production schedules
- Scheduling the production of new and after-market products for customer delivery
- Gaining a thorough understanding of product lines, services, customer requirements, and market conditions
- Implementing strategic planning, budgeting, and staffing practices
- Introducing and maintaining operational systems for process improvements
- Managing and developing teams
- Performing additional duties as required by the Company and Vice President
Job Requirements:
- Experience in project management
- Significant experience within the marine sector
- Proven track record as an Engineering Manager
- Strong knowledge of production scheduling and capacity maximisation
- Understanding of safety and quality management standards
- Ability to manage budgets and perform Capex reporting
- Skills in team management and development
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in strategic planning and operational system improvements
