Castlefield Recruitment is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract in the North-East public sector.
The role offers a salary of £37,000 and includes an attractive benefits package with a hybrid working model, requiring one day per week on-site.
Key responsibilities include managing multiple high-value procurements, supporting senior negotiations, and guiding procurement officers.
Candidates must have a CIPS Level 5 qualification and significant experience in the public sector.
Experience in running tender processes from start to finish is also required.

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector Organisation in the North-East to recruit a Procurement Specialist to join the team on a fixed-term basis.

The role offers an attractive benefits package and a hybrid working policy; with the requirement to attend the office 1 day per week, with the other 4 days working from home.

Role:

Manage multiple high-value/high-risk procurements at the same time
Support the Senior Procurement Specialist in negotiations e.g. pricing structures and performance mechanisms
Provide guidance to Procurement officers on relevant projects
Ensure all business needs and expectations are met or exceeded

Individual:

CIPS Level 5 qualification is essential
High level of working knowledge and experience in the public sector
Experience of running tender processes from start to finish
