My mark leading manufacturer client is seeking a Purchasing Co-Ordinator to join their team at a time of ambitious growth plans. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to their continued success and drive improvements in their purchasing and procurement processes.

The main purpose of the role is to optimise the procurement processes by analysing purchasing data, supplier performance, and market trends. The role has a keen focus on improving cost efficiency, ensuring supplier reliability, and supporting strategic decision-making within the Supply Chain Function.

The successful Purchasing Co-Ordinator will be responsible for analysing and optimising the procurement activities of the Company. This exciting role focuses on gathering and interpreting purchasing data, assessing Supplier performance, and supporting the development of cost-effective Procurement Strategies. The Purchasing Analyst will work closely with Cross-Functional Teams, including Procurement, Finance and Operations, to drive efficiencies and cost savings.

You will be responsible for:

  • Annual purchasing cost savings
  • Purchase order accuracy.
  • Supplier performance/supplier lead time improvement in line with business needs
  • Inventory turnover.
  • Supplier Relationship Development.
  • Supply Chain Risk Management.
  • Purchasing Process Optimisation.
  • Vendor Payment Optimisation.
  • Compliance: To ensure that all Purchasing activities comply with Company Policies, legal requirements, and Ethical Standards.
  • Process Improvement: To work with procurement teams to continuously improve processes, tools, and systems to enhance purchasing efficiency.

You will have:

  • CIPS qualification (essential), Bachelor's Degree qualified (desired).
  • Experience in the same or very similar role within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving results in line with Primary Objectives.
