Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Thursday: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Job Overview:

Berry Recruitment Darlington is currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives for a warehousing and distribution client based in Newton Aycliffe. This is a temporary-to-permanent role with a strong focus on career development and progression within the logistics sector. The company offers a comprehensive training scheme, including the opportunity to pursue an HGV licence in the future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking and packing orders to meet set targets efficiently and accurately.
  • Operating warehouse management systems (computers and logistics databases) to track and manage stock levels.
  • Ensuring that all health and safety guidelines are followed while working in the warehouse environment.
  • Assisting with inventory checks and stock replenishment as required.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (FLT), where applicable.
  • Collaborating with the team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order processing.
  • Supporting other warehouse functions as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience in order picking and achieving set targets.
  • Comfortable using computers and logistics databases for tracking inventory.
  • A clean Full UK driving licence (must be over 18).
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
