Do you love working in Manufacturing?  Do you enjoy mentoring and supporting your team to get to the next level in their career?  We must admit we are super excited to represent this interim Head of Finance/ Financial Controller vacancy for this high end manufacturing company in Northamptonshire.  2 loyal, important and valued members of the team have recently (in the last 8 weeks) been promoted and will need the support from this role to get them to the next level in their career in the business.  The business have the support of a strong technical accountant and need this role to be the communicator in the team and the wider business.  Communicating with the Manufacturing team and bridging the gap between Accounting and Finance and the commercials in the business.The organisation are friendly, innovative, and an evolving business, an excellent opportunity to make an impact quickly.  The role is currently interim with the possibility to go permanent.The team are friendly, welcoming and hardworking; they are so excited about having the support from an Experienced Financial Controller/ Head of Finance and you will report to the CEO who is a Qualified Accountant.A presence in the office 4-5 days per week is preferable.Finacial Controller/ Head of Finance duties include:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies
  • Lead the budgeting process
  • Monthly financial forecasting 
  • Assess potential investment opportunities
  • Financial analysis and recommendations
  • Support strategic decisions
  • Oversee the finance function
  • Support business as usual
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Maintaining strong relationships with the bank and other financial institutions
  • Control the company's capital structure by managing debt, equity, and working capital to support growth and financial stability.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the finance team
  • Facilitating collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor, develop, and empower team members, enabling their professional growth and ensuring a high-performing finance organisation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders,
  • Promote and develop effective communication
  • Be a role model within the business, exemplifying company values
Person:
  • ACCA/ CIMA/ACA Qualified (not essential)
  • Excellent communicator and able to build relationships across the business
  • Experienced and enjoy mentoring
  • Experienced and enjoy process improvement
