About the Role:Macildowie are seeking a technically skilled Statutory Accountant to join this international company on a PART-TIME basis (20 hours). In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the completion of statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with all UK statutory and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in liaising with auditors, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team in delivering seamless financial reporting.

What you'll do:

  • Compile and submit statutory financial statements, adhering to UK GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure the timely completion of annual audits.
  • Ensure full compliance with UK statutory obligations, including filings with Companies House and HMRC submissions.
  • Support with the preparation of corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and other required statutory filings.
  • Provide technical guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters.
  • Assist the finance team in managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Stay updated on changes in UK financial legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and tax reporting processes.

What you'll need:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified accountant.
  • Proven experience in statutory accounting, preferably within a group of companies in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and UK taxation requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
