Our client, a well-established company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly skilled Part TimeStatutory Accountant (20 Hours) to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for statutory reporting, compliance, and providing key financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with UK statutory requirements, including Companies House filings and HMRC submissions.
- Support the preparation of corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory filings.
- Monitor updates in UK financial legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist the finance team with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Provide technical guidance on accounting and financial reporting issues.
- Contribute to budget, forecast, and tax reporting within the division.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACCA qualified accountant.
- Proven experience in statutory accounting within a group of companies, preferably in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and UK taxation requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
