Our client, a well-established company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly skilled Part TimeStatutory Accountant (20 Hours) to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for statutory reporting, compliance, and providing key financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of annual audits.
  • Ensure compliance with UK statutory requirements, including Companies House filings and HMRC submissions.
  • Support the preparation of corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory filings.
  • Monitor updates in UK financial legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Assist the finance team with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide technical guidance on accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Contribute to budget, forecast, and tax reporting within the division.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACCA qualified accountant.
  • Proven experience in statutory accounting within a group of companies, preferably in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and UK taxation requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data and financial information.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
