Job Purpose

  • Leading a team of tax accountants at an established and growing accountancy practice.
  • Manage the delivery of the tax function, overseeing workflow, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Be a key decision maker in the strategic direction of the tax function, working closely with other senior management to plan and set ambitious targets.
  • Confidently represent the firm at networking opportunities, building and nurturing a network of prospective clients.
  • Scope new service lines for the existing tax portfolio.
  • Provide trusted advisory to high value clients, delivering sound technical knowledge in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Providing mentorship to junior tax staff, including training and knowledge sharing.
  • Support the department’s people management agenda, including recruiting and succession planning.
  • Set an example to the tax team as a hands-on and supportive Partner.
