I am seeking an experienced Director of Finance, with a passion for driving change and overseeing key financial transformations in the charity sector for an 18 month contract with a fascinating organisation!

Robertson Bell is partnering with a charity to recruit an Interim Finance Director on a part-time basis (3 days per week), reporting directly to the CEO. This is an 18-month contract, based in London with hybrid working on offer.

You’ll take the reins of the finance function, providing steady leadership and assurance across day-to-day operations, grant management, and statutory responsibilities. Supporting a capable and self-sufficient small team, your focus will be on ensuring sound financial oversight and maintaining confidence at Board level.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the CEO with diary and inbox management
  • Helping to organise events and away days
  • Assisting with operational improvements, such as streamlining the online expenses process
  • Ensuring the smooth and professional running of the CEO’s office
  • Preparing documents and presentations, and supporting wider team admin

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be highly organised, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with people across all levels
  • Be confident using Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Bring a can-do attitude and a willingness to get stuck into new tasks
