You know those people who make sure things are just right? Quality Inspectors.

We're recruiting for a Northampton-based manufacturing business that makes precision-engineered bearings. Their products are used worldwide, and they take quality seriously, because when things need to run smoothly, there's no room for error.

They've identified a need within their Quality team for someone with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn. In an ideal world, you'd already have inspection experience, but they know that's a big ask. If you have a curious mind and an interest in how things are made, they'll teach you the rest.

This role comes with full training, and in a couple of years, you'll be a self-sufficient Quality Inspector. There are plenty of opportunities to progress within this business, as long as you have a great attitude and a strong work ethic, you'll go far.

You'll be shadowing experienced inspectors, learning how to check precision components to exact standards, and ensuring that everything meets customer and internal requirements. By the end of 2025, you'll be confident in carrying out quality checks independently.

At heart, this is a manufacturing business, so expect a hands-on role where you'll be working closely with the production team. It's a professional but down-to-earth environment, friendly banter is encouraged, but doing a great job is a must.

If you don't have formal quality inspection experience, don't worry. It would help if you can tick some of these boxes:

  • You have an interest in engineering, manufacturing, or how things are made.
  • You notice small details that others miss.
  • You're comfortable using basic measuring tools (or keen to learn).
  • You can follow technical instructions without getting lost.
  • You have a logical mind and enjoy problem-solving.
  • You take pride in doing a job properly.
