Responsibilities:

  • Maintain stock control using the stock management system
  • Receive, dispatch, inspect, and issue materials
  • Update order/materials databases accordingly
  • Ensure the security of the stores is maintained
  • Monitor the status of depot fire equipment
  • Assist in the identification of materials and raise order requests
  • Assemble and pack materials/goods to support timely dispatch orders
  • Load and unload trucks carefully, following guidelines
  • Conduct regular checks of technical devices and systems for material handling
  • Ensure proper storage conditions and take corrective actions when necessary
  • Pick materials according to maintenance exams and deliver them to the receiving units
  • Coordinate transportation of materials with outside agencies

Essential Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy, including Word, Excel, and stock management systems
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Desirable Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

  • Warehouse and/or logistical experience
  • Valid driving licence
  • Forklift licence (counterbalance) preferred
  • Previous experience in a Stores role (internal customer face to face)
  • Basic engineering knowledge

Technologies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with stock management systems
