Operations Manager | Northolt, Middlesex UB5 5QQ travel within 15 miles | Full Time | Office Based | 40 hours per week – Mon-Fri 8am-5pm | £45,000 (subject to experience) + performance related bonus

You will be an experienced Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance relating to service, repairs and maintenance of the business. You will ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention, with a keen focus on increasing revenues and reducing costs.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Operations Manager in a similar field/sector
  • Experience in Fire & Security or in a similar field
  • CRM, Microsoft Office (advanced level) experience
  • Good verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Initiative and the ability to focus on existing and new opportunities and solutions
  • Good organisational and team building skills
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Decision making and problem-solving abilities
  • Time-management skills

What will your role look like?

  • Consistently deliver high levels of customer service in line with the 5-Star Customer Promise, while managing daily activities of the service, repairs, maintenance team, and handling complaints
  • Effectively manage and monitor the department's P&L, complete billing, and maximise gross profitability of all services
  • Produce accurate reports to track completed works, meet deadlines, and evaluate revenue and costs
  • Manage all service contracts in line with SLA requirements
  • Participate in pricing parts, labour, and other charges, ensuring policies and procedures are up-to-date
  • Lead, monitor, and motivate the team to consistently meet customer and company expectations
  • Oversee Out of Office Services and management
  • Assist with PPMs (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and accreditations
  • Schedule and assign tasks to engineers (both PAYE and Sub-Contract)
  • Ensure all jobs are accurately recorded in the company's designated CRM or software systems
  • Maintain accurate job records, documentation, and costing for all engineering and management activities
  • Handle administration, documentation, and software systems management
  • Oversee job costing, ensuring engineering and management time is properly documented and costed
  • Manage customer complaints and QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) processes
