Your new companyHays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be supporting a major Norwich employer who are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join them on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The business offers hybrid working of 3 days in the office with 2 days working from home and a salary of £28,000 - £30,000, depending on your experience.Your new roleIn this 6-month payroll job, you will join the team that processes over 5,000 staff across multiple payrolls and take responsibility for your part of the payroll as well as rotating payroll duties. Your typical day-to-day duties will involve checking the downloaded payroll data for agreed hours or errors, uploading them onto their payroll system, as well as deducting the standard HMRC deductions.As explained, the payroll duties will be varied depending on your experience from processing new starters, P45, calculating maternity or paternity pay, producing payroll reports for the Payroll Manager including RTI (Real Time Information) and being confident in dealing with payroll queries.What you'll need to succeedYou will be immediately available or on a short notice period and able to commit to a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Norwich.
