MMP Consultancy is seeking a Senior Development Surveyor on behalf of a local authority based in Nottingham. In this role, you will drive the Council's asset management and property development initiatives, including valuation, disposal, and rationalisation activities. You'll be instrumental in maximising value across projects, ensuring efficient use of assets, and supporting the Council's broader regeneration aims.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development, valuation, and disposal of assets within a designated portfolio to maximise value and support Council objectives.
* Responsible for delivering agreed financial targets through property management and asset disposals.
* Act as the primary contact with agents, developers, tenants, and purchasers, fostering productive relationships for successful outcomes.
* Support Principal Development Surveyors in advancing asset management priorities, including acquisitions and disposals, to align with Council goals.
* Provide expert advice on property matters to colleagues, ensuring statutory compliance, health & safety, and risk management across the asset portfolio.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff, contributing to their professional development.
* Assist in the enhancement of asset management systems, while preparing detailed reports, business cases, and budget forecasts.


Skills & Experience:
* MRICS with relevant post-qualification experience.
* Background in delivering multidisciplinary property projects, asset valuations, development, and disposals.
* Proficiency in commercial negotiations, contract management, budget management, and financial target setting.
* Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels effectively.
* Analytical mindset with a focus on identifying solutions for complex property issues.
