Hexagon Group are delighted to be recruiting a Building Manager to work on a 12 month fixed term contract for a top tier real estate company who have a well-respected name in the industry and manage some impressive assets across the UK. As the Building Manager, you will manage a large, multi-tenanted office building in the centre of Nottingham that stands at over 100,000sqft, and has an impressive amount of communal space for tenants to utilise. Over the next couple of months, there are some exciting projects that you will be involved with including replacement of plant room equipment, and regular fit-outs.

Our client envisions that the incoming Building Manager will take their post in April to allow for a thorough handover before the current Building Manager goes on maternity leave.Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall day to day management of the asset, with close support from a Senior Facilities Manager
  • Responsible for the property's health & safety, ensuring the tenants follow the procedures closely and all statutory compliance us up to date and logged correctly.
  • Supporting with the management of the service charge budget
  • Working closely with the occupiers, dealing with any issues that may arise and overseeing tenant engagement events that will be delivered by the front of house team.
  • Management of both hard & soft service contracts, which includes M&E, cleaning, security, and pest control.
  • Overseeing any M&E replacement projects whilst liaising with the relevant contractors.

We are keen to speak with experienced Building / Facilities Managers who have managed a sizeable asset and are available to start a new role imminently. As this role is heavily focused around customer service, you will be personable and be comfortable liaising with high-profile tenants and senior stakeholders. In addition, you will be familiar with service charge budgets and hold a strong understanding of statutory compliance / health & safety.
