Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager on behalf of a growing professional services business based in Nottingham on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the Role: This is an opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to collaborate with senior stakeholders and influence strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will deliver insightful financial analysis, support business planning, and drive commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed financial reporting, analysis, and commentary for board packs.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver business plans, forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Identify underperforming areas and implement improvement strategies.
- Assess investment opportunities to ensure ROI aligns with business objectives.
- Coach and support business units in financial management best practices.
- Collaborate with central finance teams to ensure financial efficiency.
- Support due diligence for M&A activity and integration.
- Develop financial models and scenario planning to support strategic initiatives.
About You:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Proven experience in a commercial finance role, ideally within an SME or start-up.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to develop financial models.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Commercially astute, proactive, and able to work across multiple priorities.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
