Finance Director – Competitive Salary - Nottingham / Hybrid-working

The Role

Are you a strategic thinker with a proven track record in financial leadership? Do you have the skills to support growth and ensure financial stability in a fast-paced business?

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Finance Director to join Arum's Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Reporting directly to the Managing Director (MD), you will play a key role in shaping Arum’s financial strategy and supporting its continued growth.

The Finance Director will provide strategic leadership and oversight of Arum’s financial operations. You will be responsible for financial planning, management, risk mitigation, and ensuring that the finance team supports the business’s wider objectives. This is a key leadership role in a company experiencing rapid growth, and you will work closely with the MD to ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Support the MD in developing and implementing a robust financial strategy aligned with business growth objectives. Provide financial insights to guide executive decision-making.
  • Financial Management: Develop budgets, forecasts, manage cash flow, and monitor financial performance against targets. Identify areas for improvement.
  • Risk and Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and manage risks. Oversee the audit process and implement control measures.
  • Financial Policies: Manage financial policies, ensuring proper controls and compliance across the business.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and other key stakeholders. Present financial reports to the board and SLT.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring they are aligned with the business’s goals and fostering a high-performance culture.

The Person

We are looking for someone with:
