• Managing a portfolio of c.200 private clients, handling their tax compliance requirements
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to HMRC guidelines
• Identifying tax-saving opportunities and supporting advisory projects where required
• Staying up to date with changes in tax legislation and advising clients accordingly
• Liaising with HMRC and other external bodies on behalf of clients
• Supporting senior tax professionals with ad-hoc tax planning and advisory assignments

• CTA or ATT qualification preferred, but open to qualified by experience (QBE) candidates
• Strong experience in personal tax compliance, ideally gained in an accountancy practice
• A keen interest in developing tax advisory skills, with a proactive approach to learning
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• A confident and professional communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and HMRC
• Ambition to grow within the role, taking on more complex cases as the portfolio expands
• This is not a people management role, so no prior team leadership experience is required

• £45,000 to £50,000 per annum
