Pay: 90 - 110 per day

Long Term Futures are looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to work in an alternative provision that supports students in KS3 and KS4. As a Behaviour Mentor at this setting, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students who face behavioural, emotional, or social challenges and provide support for students that are unable to access mainstream education. You will work closely with students to manage and improve their behaviour, provide tailored interventions and promote positive engagement in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 1-1 with students who require additional support with behaviour management.
  • Develop and implement tailored behaviour intervention plans.
  • Provide emotional and social support to students, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, encouraging them to take responsibility for their actions and learning.
  • Support students in developing the social and emotional skills necessary to succeed in both academic and life situations.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff to create bespoke support packages for students.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the "whole student" approach.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in working with children/young people with challenging behaviours or SEN.
  • Previous experience in an education setting is highly desirable.
  • Have strong communication and verbal skills.
  • A willingness and capability to support students displaying challenging behaviours.
