Must be CIPD Level 3 or above.Key Responsibilities

Sickness Absence Management:

  • Oversee sickness absence casework 
  • Prepare and provide attendance reports using the HR system to monitor trends and inform decision-making.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Provide HR policy guidance and respond to day-to-day queries.
  • Manage casework on employee relations issues, including disciplinary matters, grievances, maternity leave, and consultations.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law

HR Administration & Audits:

  • Take notes at formal HR meetings and support formal hearings where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records (both paper and electronic) in line with compliance requirements.

Organisational Support & Projects:

  • Contribute to HR improvement projects, including policy development and process enhancement.
  • Support training and induction programs for staff, including sessions on absence and performance management.
  • Maintain and update HR content on SharePoint, the Shared Drive, and other platforms.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Advise on recruitment advertising, candidate packs, interview guides, and assessment materials.
  • Provide training and guidance on best recruitment practices.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for central team staff.

HR Communication & Reporting:

  • Prepare management reports as required to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate HR-related content for the Trust newsletter.
  • Ensure effective support and coordination of HR audit activities.
